Welcome to ALIAALIA's purpose is to develop a nationally cohesive, professional and recognised Landscape Industry peak body representing all Australian States in the identification and implementation of national, sustainable growth strategies and to provide a conduit for the Landscape Industry to gather and share information and, in so doing, develop strong, beneficial relationships with all stakeholders Australia wide. In 2003 the Landscape Industry in Australia was valued at: GDP $4,250 Billion with 3046 individual businesses (not supply and demand chain links) and directly employed 53,000 people. New research is occurring 1st half 2010. GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT: The Landscape Industry in Australia encourages and supports employers to provide sustainable employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians. It will encourage and support Indigenous Australians to be involved and take up training and employment opportunities that will enhance their future employment prospects within the landscape industry. |
Mission StatementThe Associations CORE PURPOSE is:To provide a professionally structured organisation and the central point of contact for those operating within the Australian landscape industry that will allow the development of professional recognition and awareness by the consumer to provide sustainable industry growth. This will be achieved via: • National membership from all state associations. • National individual Certification programs implemented. • National company and Accreditation programs implemented. • Recognition and support from all levels of government. • Development of national industry best practice and world competitiveness. • Development of national marketing and consumer awareness programs. • Availability of established career path guidelines for landscape skills development. • Identification of potential export markets. • Development of an efficient national communications process. |
